Burgers and Lemon Dessert

Wow, it has been over a month since I last wrote anything. So much has happened too. Tonight won't be the night that I play catch up however.
This weekend was a good one. I finally got to meet Jackie!!!!!! After connecting here on Gaia and finding we had some things in common we started talking about meeting in person. She lives about ten minutes, if that, from my job. Of course, life gets int he way, things happen and the plan doesn't get made. Then by some mad crazy genius stroke of WHATEVER I discovered that she used to live i nthe very same house I now live in! She lived here many years ago. Funny what junk mail for previous tenants can open up! So once that came to light we HAD to meet! And what a fabulous meeting it was! We met at the restaurant at 5:50 and left at 10:50!! Five hours of conversation. It was such fun and such a gift. We ate burgers and had lemon meringue pie for dessert.
Yesterday Brian and I had Linda and Ethan over for dinner. We were supposed to be providing dinner, HOWEVER, Linda had prepared way too much food for her family gathering the night before. Sooooo they brought it to our house and we grilled burgers and chicken. They even brought dessert....lemon cake. It was great catching up with them.
It appears the theme for this weekend was burgers and lemon dessert. Now I shall spend the coming week eating salad.........

And goodness. That is one crazy bit of serendipity. The same house? I was just dreaming up QaRs today and one happened to be “Who used to live in your home?” Lo and behold, you've already answered. What a beautiful world this is.

Hi Siona and Centria. This has been an amazingly magical synchronistic time for me. Confirmation EVERYWHERE! I am really paying attention and noticing the beauty in the forward movement….in other words, practicing what I preach! The thing about Jacking and I living in the same house more than 20 years apart is on the one hand, mindblowing, and on the other hand there is a sens of “but of course.” Of course the latter sense comes only after a couple of weeks of it sinking in. And that comes once the numbness in the head from slapping oneself while asking “Whoda thunk it?” goes away. Y'all still with me?
